Regarding a member's request to build a shed that was not within the guidelines of our HOA documents, the Board of Directors rejected this request for the following reasons:

 

* The Guidelines were written for the permanency of the SOG neighborhood and to maintain home values. Therefore, any proposed changes to these guidelines must maintain this charter.

 

* Since the Guidelines were written as a standard for all lots without exception, the size proposed was too large and inappropriate for over 95% of the lots.

 

The Board of Directors is duty bound to withhold and maintain the Guidelines for Southern Oaks Grove.

 

The ARC committee spent a lot of time on this request and their efforts are appreciated.
